Los Ranchos	My wife and I visited Los Ranchos in Miami, Fl this weekend. We were greeted and seated fairly quickly and had a great experience! For starters, to Just so it was clear, I showed the waitress our printed coupon ahead of time and she smiled and took it and let us know she would apply it toward our bill. TIP: Make sure you get this out of the way since some folks are a bit uncomfortable with showing the certificate. We ordered alcoholic drinks,which by the way are not covered by the 25 dollar certificate. We also ordered appetizers and deserts at the end. It was a complete meal and a great experience! The appetizer we chose was pretty pricey (about 18 dollars) but I don't recommend you do it if you plan on maximizing the savings. The waitress brought us bread and salad and it was great. She also offered cheese on the salad (I don't recommend getting it unless you want to pay $1.90 extra (she did not tell me it would be extra though). We each had the Baby Churasco with rice and fried plantains. The food was excellent and so was the atmosphere. When the bill came, it was about $72 dollars (they added a 15 % gratuity on the bill) which is OK since I normally give that much anyway but remember: If for any reason you don't want to give that much, ask the server to re-do the bill without the extra cost. So to recap, the service was good, the food was great and overall, we spent a total of $97.63 but paid $72.63 plus the cost of the certificate which was $3.00 (there was a %70 discount) for a total of $75.63. Find available discounts. Here are some tips we learned the hard way: 1. Go easy on the drinks. We spent nearly $20 on drinks alone! If you enjoy a buzz, have a drink before or skip it all together. 2. Go easy on the appetizers. We spent another $18 on the main appetizer (it was delicious but if you want to save, go for something smaller or skip it). 3. Limit the gratuity to 15%.
